WWW Wednesdays

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Should Be Reading. What you do is answer the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?

A Game of Thrones, by George R.R. Martin. I decided to see what the hype was for myself. So far it's pretty good, though I'm having troubles keeping up with all of the characters. This one will probably take me a little while to get through.

What did you recently finish reading?

The Gammage Cup, by Carol Kendall, was an entertaining, whimsical fantasy tale written in the late 1950s, and it deals with themes of individuality and conformity, or groupthink (i.e. Communism).

What do you think you'll read next?

I'll probably take a break from A Game of Thrones to quickly read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, but Stephen Chbosky. A friend of mine recommended it, and it's also coming out as a movie with Emma Watson (Hermione).

  1. I love the Martin series. It's definitely a lot to keep track of, but I absolutely loved it. I hope you like Perks, too! Happy reading! Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Awesome books. I have Game of Thrones but haven't got around to it yet. I read The Perks about two years ago and I'm excited to see the new movie coming out because I LOVED the book.

  13. Keep pushing through A Game of Thrones. The cast of characters is VAST but once you know them, you'll never forget them. One of my favorite series and I'm only two books in!

Enjoy the rest of your reads!

  14. Thanks for reminding me of Wallflower--though I often find it's best to see the movie first so that I'm not disappointed in it. Then the book is almost always better.

  15. I'm keen to watch the Game of Thrones DVD (working in a book shop means I will never have the time to read the whole series...so good luck!)
I've also been hearing quite a bit of hype about the Perks of Being a Wallflower...the trailer for the movie likes quite good too.
