This is my first time participating in this weekly meme, hosted by Book Journey. What you do is list the books you read last week, and then list all of the books you plan to read this coming week.
What I read last week:
I only got around to reading one book last week, and that was The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky. I highly recommend this one if you haven't read it yet. My review is here.
What I'm currently reading:
The main reason for my reading slump is that I'm getting through George R. R. Martin's mammoth A Clash of Kings, the second in his Song of Fire and Ice series. I'm over two-thirds of the way through now, and I'm really enjoying it. Not for the faint of heart, but it has a great story and some great characters.
What I plan to read next:
I'm hoping to finish A Clash of Kings by mid-week, and then my ideal week would have me finishing Suzanne Collins' The Hunger Games trilogy by the weekend. At least they're quick reads.
I've seen The Perks of Being a Wallflower and will pick it up the next time I see it! Loved the Hunger Game series. Have a great week of reading.
ReplyDeletenice picks. I hope to get cought up this week, lol, here is my post

I enjoyed your review of Wallflower, it sounds like a book I'd like. I read Clash of Kings but didn't enjoy it as much as the first one, although I keep hearing Book 3 is one of the best. Thanks for visiting my blog and Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThis was my first time participating as well :) I'm having a great time looking at all the blogs and getting new book ideas for myself!

Reading a really big book does seem to slow you down, doesn't it? I think it's a great idea to follow Clash of Kings up with some quick reads.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Perks of Being a Wallflower - sounds good. I read one of the Thrones books by Martin - heavy reading, but so interesting. I also read the first of the Hunger Games trilogy, but haven't yet been able to get to the last two. Soon, though. Have a good week reading, and hope you have fun with this Meme - I try to do it every week, though I've failed - epically - at this the last few weeks. Life is Life, though.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
I have a really silly question: how does one manage to read more than one book per week?
ReplyDeletePick a short book. Read fast. Ignore all commitments. That kind of thing.
DeleteI've yet to get into The Hunger Games series, I heard I 'have to read" it.
