WWW Wednesdays

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by MizB at Should Be Reading. What you do is answer the following three questions:

What are you currently reading?

I'm over 350 pages into this massive book now, and it's still entertaining. There are lots of surprising developments that keep popping up and make me want to know what happens next. So it's hard to put down.

What did you recently finish reading?

I took a break from A Clash of Kings to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I really enjoyed it, and I've just now posted the review as well, which you can find here.

What do you think you'll read next?

I'm finally going to get around to finishing The Hunger Games trilogy. My brother has lent me the last two books, which my wife is flying through in a hurry. Hopefully by next week's post I'll have started reading this one.

  3. I'm so glad A Clash of Kings is still keeping you enthralled, it's the worst when those big books lose interest halfway through. I love The Hunger Games series, I hope you enjoy them :)

  4. Wow, those are some good ones. I haven't gotten into the Martin books because of the time commitment, though I am getting thrashed about the head and shoulders by everyone who loves them. Looking forward to your review. :) Thanks for dropping by today's WWW!

  5. I really enjoyed Perks; your review was great! The Hunger Games books also portray high school-age kids as average kids, too, not Hollywood's vision of them.

  6. I, too, have only read the first Hunger Games book! I really want to read the rest, but other books keep getting in the way. Soon, I hope!

  8. My three kids have been telling me I should read the _Hunger Games_ series.

Is _Perks_ a YA work? I enjoyed your review; I think I'd like Charlie.

    1. I would say Perks is YA. It has some mature themes, but it's main character is only 15 years old and it seems largely aimed at teenagers.

      Thanks for visiting!

  9. Thanks for the visit today. Being a Great-Gramma, I'm really not into reading YA books. I kind of favor cozy mysteries, but I figure to each his own. Happy Reading, Chris.

  10. I liked Catching Fire more then the first book, but I think I'm in the minority. I've been wanting to read the A Song of Ice and Fire series, I've read so many good reviews. Thanks for stopping by my WWW. =)

  11. Catching Fire is my favorite in the Hunger Games series and I was kind of indifferent towards Mockingjay. For me, it just didn't live up to the awesome that came before in the first two books.

Thanks for visiting my WWW Wednesday

  12. I'll be curious to see what you think of Catching Fire. I thought it was a downgrade in a lot of ways from The Hunger Games, though I don't want to say too much until you've had a chance to read it.

  13. I've heard of Wallflower but it is The Clash of Kings that sounds really interesting. What is it about?

    Thanks for following my blog.

    1. Clash of Kings is the second book in George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones series. It's a very good fantasy series, and I'm afraid to say too much because I don't want to give it away. Maybe you've heard of the HBO series?

  14. I'm not sure why I waited so long, but I just read Catching Fire and Mockingjay over the weekend. It's a great series and I think it got better as I read on. My WWW:
